The Petites Histoires collection (ÒLittle StoriesÓ) takes us to Sam BaronÕs dreamlike universe, where subtle collages mix with his sketches, adorning the objects with poetic and even a bit surrealistic narratives. The French designer takes up the decorative codes of Vista Alegre, personally inscribing them with unique and modern elegance. Small flowers, birds and other prints become motifs that freely compose sets of pieces designed for the most delicious moments of life.

Born in France in 1976, Sam Baron has a degree in Design from the ƒcole SupŽrieure dÕArt et Design de Saint-ƒtienne and has a post graduate degree from the ƒcole Nationale SupŽrieure des Arts DŽcoratifs in Paris. Baron continually reinterprets the traditional methods of construction, questioning in his work the usefulness of current production materials.

As an independent designer and consultant, Sam Baron has worked for brands such as Louis Vuitton, Vista Alegre, Bosa, L'îreal, Benetton and Dinh Van, and cooperates with design companies Ligne Roset, Christofle and Secondome Edizioni, among others. He is currently head of the Department of Design at Fabrica, the communication and research center of Benetton in Treviso.

In January 2009 he was awarded with the Grand Prix de la CrŽation de la Ville de Paris for the design category and he was chosen by Philippe Starck has one of the most important designers of the next decade, at the Maison & Objet fair. Other awards include the Silver Cuve, of the New York Art Director Club, and the Yellow Pencil, of the London Art Director Club.
