PVD, short for Physical Vapor Deposition, is a specialized coloring treatment that imparts stainless steel objects with luxurious gold, black, or copper shades. This variety of colors enables the creation of unique table settings by coordinating with both white and colored porcelain. The PVD process involves vaporizing metal particles in a vacuum-sealed chamber. After a series of ultrasonic cleaning and purification steps, the items are placed in the vacuum chamber for treatment. The coloring phase occurs through the sublimation of electrical particles, bonding to the flatware's surface at an atomic level. The varying amounts of zirconium carbon nitride produce the distinctive gold, black, copper, and champagne hues.
