At the heart of Gas Bijoux lies the Atelier perched on the hills of Marseille, André Gas hometown, where all Gas Bijoux creations are designed and handmade by a unique team of gifted artisans mastering techniques as varied as enamelling, gem setting, weaving, polishing…In this unique creative laboratory and workshop, drawers overflow with a multitude of different materials with chains, charms, gems, cristal, pearls, sequins, rhinestones… from every part of the world reflecting on the unique intricacy and complexity of manufacturing a Gas Bijoux piece. André Gas manages this beehive like a true orchestra director, personally verifying each new model and making sure he is completely satisfied with them before they leave the AtelierIn recognition of this unique savoir-faire, Gas Bijoux was, in 2011, awarded the prestigious Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) label by the French Ministry of Economy alongside the likes of Boucheron and Van Cleef & Arpels. The history Gas Bijoux is invariably linked to that of a family. The first chapter was written at the end of the 60’s, upon the canvas of Saint Tropezs beaches. André Gas, a young artist from Marseille whod graduated from the Beaux-Arts school, would stroll up and down selling the good luck jewelry he handmade. Though the young trailblazer was immediately successful, he didnt miss a beat. And once again, this story unfolded under the sun
André Gas greatest success is surely having passed his energy, passion and curiosity down to his children, who joined him in the late 90’s.
Olivier Gas, Chief Executive Officer, currently unites image and development, giving the company an international dimension. He is careful to create unique relationships with each point of sale so as to conserve the exceptional, authentic spirit that characterizes Gas Bijoux. This does not impede upon the networks constant growth, which is currently made up of over 300 dealers.
Marie Gas, Head of the Artistic Department, has undertaken the continuous challenge of uniting innovation with tradition. From creating jewelry to designing boutiques décor, not to mention the aesthetics of advertising campaigns, her intimate, delicate vision that is so in touch with her era can be seen in every aspect of the Gas Bijoux world. She thus permeates the Marseille ateliers with inspiration, transmits color choices, shape ideas and material alliances, paving the road that will carry the House into the future.
From Marseille to Paris, these three alchemists associate their complementary talents to ensure the jewelry reflects the image of the House and its history: luminous and without equal.
