“Excuse me, what are these drawings?” Asked a lady intrigued by the three sketches created by two of King-Kong’s designers to decide on the decoration of their first tray for Alessi. “Tell me what I am,” they replied, taking the opportunity to test those tests. He said of the first two drawings: “Well, I don’t understand.” Then he looked at the third and exclaimed: “Ah, but this is a little man!” This is how the very popular Girotondo decor was born, reminiscent of the one made by children with paper and scissors: reproduced on trays, baskets and many other objects for the home, it gave birth to one of the most successful collections in the Alessi catalog.
